Seneca Park

Today marks a very rare Monday XC league meet.  We travel to Seneca Park to face Arcadia, Batavia, Olympia and Sutherland.  On the girls side, Sutherland is ranked 22nd in Class B and Batavia is 24th, so they should give us some good competition.  Not surprisingly, we lost our spot in the rankings, on the heels of our 27-28 loss to Thomas.  What is surprising is that we were not replaced in the rankings by Thomas, but instead by Hilton who was placed at 25th in Class A, fourth in the Section behind R-H at #3, Penfield at #7 and Canandaigua at #8.  This is strange because Hilton was well behind R-H and Penfield at the GCC invitational, their top runner was out for that meet and their league meet last week, and our speed ratings from East Aurora put us comfortably ahead of Hilton's performance at GCC.

I think Thomas had earned that spot in the top 25.

On the boys side, Arcadia looks pretty decent this year, but it should come down to Schroeder vs. Sutherland for the win.  The computer has the match-up scored 28-28, with several finishes within two to four seconds, meaning it will be easy for the meet to go either way.

In case anyone needs last minute directions to the starting line:
