After a restful 4-day weekend (for the kids, if not the coaches), our league meet schedule continues tomorrow on our "home" course at Webster Park. The competition tomorrow should be formidable as we face some of the more established programs from Sutherland, Penfield, Fairport and Athena.
As of last week, when Monroe County had an incredible 10 teams show up in the Girls State Rankings, Fairport was ranked #3 in the state for Class AA, Penfield was #14 and Sutherland was #10 in Class A. Our girls have already knocked off #19, Victor, so this should be an interesting race with Sutherland - at McQuaid, they averaged 4 seconds per runner faster.
The boys' challenge is facing Sutherland, #2 in Class A (thanks to a 24-second 1 thru 5 spread at McQuaid), while fending off Athena (#18 in Class A) and the quality teams from Penfield and Fairport.
