The complete results are available from the Section V XC web site, here. I assume this link will eventually break, since it does not have a well-chosen name.
Our girls wound up 10th in Class AA, unable to catch up to Churchville-Chili. In the merged results, of the 90 schools with girls in Section V, 55 fielded complete teams at Sectionals, and we placed 44th. Since our six fastest girls from Saturday are returning, things should certainly improve next year.
Our boys placed as well as they possibly could have, both in Class AA, where we finished 5th, behind the big 4, and in the merged results, where we finished an outstanding 12th place - a huge improvement over 24th last year (and much, much lower than in 2006). Looking ahead to next year, Rush-Henrietta appears to be a lock for the state meet: they have the 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th fastest returning runners, but there is no telling what a real summer of running can do for our team next year.
How were the actual results, compared to the predictions? The computer did a nice job overall - only missing 100% accurate placement by Fairport boys' underperformance.
Boys (school, prediction, actual):
Brockport 54 57 (Coon rebounded from Counties to secure the win)
Thomas 57 60 (Mattiucci was injured at Counties and unable to compete)
Rush Henrietta 67 69 (unable to match County performance)
Penfield 72 91 (4th runner was out, costing at least 15 points)
Schroeder 166 146 (Wade and Chris stepped up)
Fairport 167 180 (missing #2 and several others outside of top 5)
Hilton 175 149 (these young guys ran great)
Spencerport 207 161 (Cyril made states, and had a little support, for a change)
Gates Chili 267 249
Wilson 280 337 (#s 2 & 3 were no-shows, and they only had 3 sub-20 runners)
Churchville Chili 319 301
Edison inc inc
Girls (school, prediction, actual):
Rush Henrietta 51 42 (incredible run by 4th girl made it an easy win)

Penfield 110 93 (big run by #5 girl)
Thomas 114 110 (missing 4 and 5, but a frosh stepped up)
Spencerport 133 119 (had a reasonable 5th runner)
Gates Chili 160 204 (Farmer had a poor run, as did #s 2 & 3)
Brockport 232 228
Churchville Chili 263 252 (outperformed expectations to fend off Schroeder)
Schroeder 286 277 (2 runners recovering from illness partially offset excellent team run)
