No time for a complete analysis of last weekend or next weekend, yet. The team places were better than the computer predicted (10th vs 11th for the Boys and 17th vs 19th for the Girls), but were not satisfying, as the boys let Athena slip by. The boys teams from Irondequoit and Sutherland both ran well, and I don't think we could have quite gotten them, with AB and AJ both injured, but we could have been in the ballpark.
Next Saturday is the bigger race, as evidenced by the Fairport boys resting about half of their team, and Hilton not even entering a girls team (not sure why they couldn't field anyone in the Varsity race, but on a sloppier, "more dangerous" course, they were able to field 20 runners in the Varsity B race, including 8 in the top 10). So, let's get ready for that, and make sure we beat the Fairport boys again, and finish in the top 5 in the hugely competitive AA race. Our girls get to take another shot at Churchville-Chili. I assume Wilson and Edison won't have complete or competitive teams, but perhaps some research is warranted.
