So, it was off to the East Aurora Invitational for most of the team this weekend. The squad took advantage of the 3 mile course (rather than 5K), and the relatively flat and fast terrain, to put up some very impressive PRs. All 21 boys and 9 girls that ran in EA PR'd, even adjusting for 3 miles vs. 5K. In fact, the average PR was by over a minute!
The most impressive performance of the day came from Shaylyn Tuite of Mendon, who clocked an incredible 16:38 in the large school Girls race, shattering a very fast course record. The time would have been good for 25th in the large school Boys race (and 5th in the small school Boys), and 4th on the Mendon boys team.
Complete results are available here.
And a bunch of photos are available from the Section VI Runs web site.
